These R&A Cycles Team Bib Shorts are both designed to wear with our matching jersey and with any top you have. That’s the beauty of black shorts with grey detailing. And the shorts will happily ride with you no matter how long and/or hard your day is. That’s the beauty of working with Capo Cycling.
Capo makes these bottoms in Italy. They call this their Super Corsa cut, which tells you to check out both the paneling and the material. These are eight-panel shorts, with wide, 8cm dual-ply bands at the leg ends for a comfortable, secure fit. The rest of the short panels are made from 210g Power Lycra, a thicker, compressive, spandex that is comfortable and durable. The bibs are made of white v-mesh for light weight, stretch, and breathability. The design wraps your legs, with great stretch, minimal bunching, and little movement.
The design, with subtle asymmetry on the leg bands, calls attention to our shop on one side and this website on the other. The name is known worldwide, and will often start conversations with cyclists you encounter. The design is made to complement our Team Jersey, but at the same time, the black with grey works with just about any top and hides dirt impeccably. If you’re not afraid to go form-fitting in the woods, they’re great off-roading shorts as well.
The black is both classic and modern, and the lettering is both present and almost in the background. The R&A logo pops on the back panel, a good thing to alert approaching drivers that someone is in front of them and cyclists you’re dropping of where you found the gear that is breaking their legs.
The chamois is Elastic Interface Technology’s (EIT’s) D-4 pad. It is stretchy, wicking, and multi-density, with the padding as thin as 3mm on the edges and up to 10mm under the sit bones, with a channel between the right and left sides. It moves with you and doesn’t slide around.
The R&A Cycles Team Bib Short is function and fashion, keeping your legs and bottom happy on all your rides.
